Martin Exel has been involved with Australian fisheries for over 35 years, and has been working with Austral Fisheries since 1996 as the General Manager of Environment and Policy. He is also the Chairman of the international Coalition for Legal Toothfish Operators, and a board member of the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, with the University of Tasmania.

Dallas Donovan
Dallas Donovan // Seafarms Group

Dallas Donovan is the Chief Operating Officer of Seafarms Group Ltd, and Director of Aquaculture Operations at Seafarm Queensland. Prior to joining Seafarms, Dallas was the Director of Aquaculture Operations at National Prawn Company in Saudi Arabia, one of the world’s largest fully-integrated aquaculture operations.


Tim Hess Tim Hess // Petuna Aquaculture

Tim Hess is the General Manager of Sales and Logistics and an Alternate Director on the Board of the Petuna Group located in Devonport Tasmania and has been with the company for the past 29 years.  Petuna is the largest vertically integrated seafood company in Tasmania. Tim is also on the Tasmanian Committee for Regional Development Australia. He was the Chairman of the Tasmanian Freight Logistics Council as well as a member of the Tasmanian Governments Freight Logistics Coordination Team.


Veronica PapacostaVeronica Papacosta // Sydney Fresh Seafood

Veronica Papacosta is a third generation seafood retailer and Director of Sydney Fresh Seafood. She is a newly appointed Director on the board of OceanWatch Australia. Previous to her current role at Sydney Fresh Seafood, Veronica worked in the area of online marketing, customer service and event planning in the telecommunications, motor vehicle and corporate events industries.  Veronica has a Bachelor of Economics (major in Marketing and Accounting) from Sydney University and a Diploma in Event Management from University of Technology, Sydney.  She is a 2015 graduate of the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program (NSILP).


Clive PerrymanClive Perryman // Holcorp Fisheries

Clive Perryman is a third generation fisherman, and the owner-operator of Holcorp Fisheries. Clive has been an active member of the Tasmanian Rock Lobster Fishermen’s Association (TRLFA) for almost 20 years, and is the current TRLFA President. He is also a board member of Southern Rock Lobster Ltd (SRL), and a graduate of the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program. Clive has been involved in raising awareness about the seafood industry; he volunteered in a partnership schools program, and organised a presentation about the Rock Lobster industry at the Hobart Wooden Boat Festival.


Katherine WinchesterKatherine Winchester // National Seafood Industry Alliance (NSIA)

Katherine Winchester is a Founding Member of the National Seafood Industry Alliance and current Chair. Her full-time role is Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Seafood Council, an organisation that has supported her professional development, which resulted in her graduation from the National Seafood Industry Leadership Program, AICD Company Directors Course and Australian Rural Leadership Program.

Jonas WoolfordJonas Woolford // Wildcatch Fisheries SA

Jonas Woolford is the President of the Abalone Industry Association of South Australia, and the Vice-Chairman and South Australia Director of the Abalone Council Australia. He is also the President of Wildcatch Fisheries SA, the peak body for the South Australian fishing industry. Jonas is a Director of his family company Eyrewoolf Enterprises. Jonas holds an Advanced Diploma of Accounting, and is a graduate of the National Seafood Leadership Program, Australian Rural Leadership Program, Australian Institute of Company Directors, Seafood Management Development Program, and the Seafood Executive Program.  Last year, Jonas achieved a Graduate Certificate of Australian Rural Leadership.


Anthony Ciconte // Shark Fishery

Anthony Ciconte is the Executive Chairman of the Commonwealth Fisheries Association (CFA), an association committed to ensuring the commercial fishing industry is recognised for its contribution to Australia’s economy, society and environment. Anthony is also Executive Officer of the Southern Shark Industry Alliance (SSIA), and is a commercial shark fisher based in Victoria.


Barbara Konstas // Melbourne Seafood Centre

Barbara Konstas is the CEO of the Melbourne Seafood Centre, the largest wholesale seafood market in Victoria. She is also the Director-at-Large of the Women’s Industry Network Seafood Community (WINSC). Barbara has over 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, and has a commitment to sustainability, local competitiveness and a successful Australian commercial fishing industry.
